Rules
of Competition 2008
1-In
this competition might participate solists, duet, ballet schools,
choreography groups representing a section of classic ballet,
neo-classic and contemporary,a section of modern ballet, jazz, funky,hip
hop and a special new section of folk/ethnic dance.It is limited to both
sexes born before 01/01/1993. ( a photocopy of identification
document for each person must be introduced )
The Pre-selections will be done by viewing the DV cassettes or DVD that
should be send within the date set by the organization. (15 - 06 -
2008 )
2-This competition offers:

for the school, ballet
group or for the best company.
3- The Video or DVD
preselection is settled to a 50 euro for Coreography for Soloist,
Duet, Group or Company and Who pass the Pre- selection the
registration fee of the competition is settled to a 60 euro for
the solists , 90 euro for duets and 150 euro for
choreography for groups , schools and ballet companies (at least not
much than 10 members, after 10 euro for each member plus
20 %
off for the second coreography
) that
should be send to the association attached to the registration
index-card, video materials for the selection that should contain only
choreography in competition, the list is compounded only by each
competitor in the program, solist, duet or each other group
member,school or ballet company and a photocopy of payment of
Registration fees through the postal bulletin (Vaglia Postale) and
mailed to:

4-The
order of placement of the participants or the school programs, solists,
duets, groups or ballet companies during the competition nights will be
programmed based on a complete and unquestionable decision by the
International Jury.
5-Each solist, duets, group or ballet companies may present
maximum of two choreographs in the competition, 10 minutes in total for
those who present two choreographs. For those who present one
choreography the maximum time of the part can not pass 6 minutes for the
groups, schools or ballet companies and 4 minutes for solists and duets.
If the choreographic part goes beyond the set time, the jury decides
automatically place it at the last place for breaking the rules.
6-The musical and choreographic parts should not contain any
publicity for individuals, groups or ballet companies, for third persons
or choreographers should not contain any insulting or political messages
as it will be followed by immediate punishment and removal from the
competition without pre warning.
Also the musical parts should be registered in a high quality CD where
the only part registered is the part presented in the competition (it’s
recommended that a second copy should be used in case of technical
problems any other surprises).
In the cover of the CD it should be stated:
-solist’s name, duet, group, school or ballet company
-music’s author
-part’s length
The CD should be handed to the Association upon arrival at the Theatre.
7-All the solists, duets, groups, schools, or ballet companies
will only have 15 minutes of rehearsal in the Theatre and there should
be no violation of rules (the timetable will be discussed on the moment
of arrival in the hotel from the organizers of the competition).
All the requests about technical, musical, effects or any kind of stage
requests should be done only with the authorized stage technicians from
Competition before the rehearsals.
8-Each of the solists, duets, schools, groups or ballet companies
should have a medical certificate that “verifies as their personal
responsibility that all the contestants such as ballerinas are healthy
and don’t suffer from any physical or mental illness.
“Minors who participate should have the approval of their parents or the
approval of people who represent them”.
9-The participants can not require any type of award or payment
for their artistical participation in the Nights/Competitors and from
the moment of undersigning the regulations and the registration form
should accept to be filmed by the authorized cameras of Competition and
should be allowed to be photographed during the performance time in the
stage of the Theatre during the Competition. This Audio-Vision service
is exclusive and belongs only to the Association. The entrance and the
use of machines such as photo/ registration video is prohibited during
all the times of rehearsals and the nights/Competition. Everyone that
wishes the registration of the final night of the selections should
request video registration by this Association.
10- All the participants in The Competition should abide in a
rigorous way to all the points of regulations as the punishment for
those who disobey the rules of the Theatre or of the hotels who welcome
them, will be followed by their removal from the Competition.
11-It’s
our responsibility to be at your disposal you during all this time from
the arrival until to the accommodation of hotels, restaurants, arranged
in the finest details by the association. During the Competition time,
they will always be accompanied by translators or co-workers/organizers
of the Association for whatever need they might arise.
12- All the solists, duets, schools, groups or companies will
have the right to obtain the
“Crystal of Dance - Firmum Award ”
13- The dimensions of dancing stage are: 12 m length by 10 m wide
in Porto San Giorgio and Fermo.
14- The travelling, food and accommodation expenses are the
responsibility of the participants of the Competition and their
companions for the Pre-Selection in Porto San Giorgio and Fermo, Italy.
15- The choreographers, leaders of each school, groups, duets or
participants solists in the moment of undersigning the rules and the
registration acts will give up from their copy rights and can not
request from the Association, for the participation in this festival the
authorizing filming, photographing and material advertisement, only for
publicity purpose and information for the goal of developing and
increasing the image of the international competition according to the
rules and authorizations that are in force by the state.
16-The association is not responsible for any theft, damage or
loss of things left without supervision from whoever that participates
in the Competition during the rehearsals and during the festival nights.
JURY
A- The chosen Jury for presenting the awards consists of national
and international figures with world renowned in the field of art and
ballet , which will operate during these days of the Competition in
Italy. The right composition will be known only within 30 june 2008.
The Jury has the right of the ultimate and unquestionable decision
that takes and will judge the presented work from all the competitors
based on their originality, the Technical Level of the Execution
and the Expression.
B- The decisions of the Jury are unquestionable and if the jury
thinks it is reasonable, that some awards should not be presented, it is
possible that the Jury makes certain changes in the regulation of this
Competition.
C- Choreographers, directors of schools, groups, companies, or solists
and duets in the moment of signing this regulation should unquestionably
accept the content and the topics(from 1 till 16) of this regulation.
